Remote hearings have become increasingly popular in Spain following recent reforms to Spanish procedural law. The aim of introducing remote hearings is to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of the EUTM enforcement regime. A new protocol on remote hearings has been adopted by the Commercial Court No. 1 of Alicante, setting out requirements to ensure they are legitimately held.
